After 3 hours of spa, we decide to eat something “healthy”, and came here for their Salmon with Grilled Rice (Com Nuong Ca Salmon – $8.25). The recent new finding of grilled rice became my new favorite lately. This Vietnamese restaurant actually specializing in com tay cam (hot pot), but we never order them before. As usual, the restaurant has a wait, but we were lucky since there’s only one party in front of us. But as soon as we get seated, the line got longer and longer.

They have this refreshing drink (chrysanthemum tea) that is free with every order. It’s actually bottled and available at local Asian supermarket. I think the taste is a little bit light, probably water down but it’s free, so I can’t be really that picky.

Last time we ordered House special Chow Fun and French style beef steak with grilled rice..both weren’t good at all, and we noticed most of the table order Salmon with grilled rice and some soup bowl. Because of previous experiences, we both decide to order the grilled rice with salmon and I ordered another wonton soup to share b/c I feel like some hot soup to warm up my tummy. The salmon was very good, just the way I remembered from last time, soup base for the wonton was very plain but the wonton was pretty good.

Service here is not very great, well…don’t expect good service at most of the Asian own restaurant. It took us awhile to get someone’s attention to refill our water and drinks. But I really felt sad for the table next to us. There were 3 white guys sitting there but they didn’t know it was cash only restaurant so two of the guy left to look for ATM while the other guy was there as collateral. The waiter clean the table off and put a reserved sign on the table…I know they really want to kick him out but technically they can’t b/c they haven’t paid yet. =P On the way back home, I also saw another Lục Đỉnh Ký like 1 or 2 blocks away!! I guess if it get packed next time, I’ll try another location.
